Easy Crock Chili Recipe

Serves 4-6

This recipe combines beef, sausage,kidney beans, and onion to create a powerful flavor. A touch of garlic accents the Chili powder to perfection. The slow cooking process brings these flavors together.


  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 can of kidney beans
  • 1 can of whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 small can of tomato puree
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 jalapeno peppers chopped
  • 1/4 cup of ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 cup of water

Here's how...

  1. Brown beef and sausage in skillet and then drain excess grease.
  2. Place meat and all other ingredients in bottom of Crock Pot Slow Cooker and mix thoroughly.
  3. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

Try this...

This chili uses jalapeno peppers to heat things up. Adding more of this pepper will increase the intensity of the chili. Chop up some onions and add shredded cheddar cheese to add additional flavor and color.
